Used in our own coating services: These polyester cleaning swabs are used daily by SCH Services during conformal coating preparation, inspection, and rework for controlled, low-lint cleaning and localised touch-up support.
Polyester cleaning swabs provide controlled, precision cleaning for electronics assembly, inspection, and conformal coating environments. They are well suited for wiping PCB surfaces, cleaning connectors, and accessing tight or localised areas where cloths or wipes are impractical.
Within conformal coating processes, operators commonly use polyester cleaning swabs during preparation, inspection, and rework. Typical applications include removing light contamination, excess residues, and small amounts of unwanted conformal coating during touch-up and finishing. When used correctly, swabs support cleaner surfaces and more consistent coating results without spreading contamination.
They are also used for localised conformal coating repair, where a solvent-dampened swab is applied to soften and lift small areas of coating prior to inspection, touch-up, or selective rework.
