Description

High-Purity Parylene Dimers (CVD Precursor)

High-purity Parylene dimers for use in vapour deposition (CVD) coating processes. Available in Parylene C, D, N and F grades. Sold in tubs of 500 g.

Parylene dimers are the solid precursor materials used in the chemical vapour deposition process to produce conformal Parylene coatings. During deposition, the dimer is vaporised, cracked into a monomer gas, and polymerised onto component surfaces to form a uniform, pinhole-free coating.

SCH supplies high-purity Parylene dimers as part of our wider range of Parylene products, where consistent material quality is critical to maintaining coating performance, deposition efficiency, and long-term reliability.

For a detailed overview of Parylene dimer grades, material properties, and typical applications, see our Parylene Basics: Grades, Properties & Uses guidance.

Available grades

  • Parylene C – general-purpose coating with excellent moisture and chemical barrier properties
  • Parylene D – enhanced thermal stability for higher temperature operating environments
  • Parylene N – lower dielectric constant for high-frequency and RF applications
  • Parylene F (VT-4) – high-temperature performance with improved oxidative stability
  • Parylene AF-4 – fluorinated variant for extreme chemical resistance and low dielectric constant

Selected grades or pack sizes may be supplied on a request-for-quotation basis depending on availability and application requirements.

How to select the right grade

Choosing the correct Parylene dimer grade is essential to achieving the desired coating performance. Consider:

  • Operating temperature
  • Dielectric properties
  • Chemical exposure
  • Moisture resistance
  • Regulatory or industry requirements

Appropriate masking for Parylene coating is essential to protect connectors, test points, and defined keep-out areas during deposition.

If you do not operate in-house deposition equipment, SCH also provides Parylene coating services using production-qualified systems.
