Typical failure mechanisms in conformal coating processing: Uneven conformal coating

This video is about one of the typical failure mechanisms in conformal coating processing called  Uneven coating.

This is a defect where the thickness of the material is outside the range of the specified requirement. When the coating is too thin this will give inadequate protection. When the coating is too thick the coating can lead to other defects such as bubbles, cracking, and delamination.
