ACCIS Automated Conformal Coating Inspection System

Conformal Coating Inspection

Conformal Coating Inspection is a critical and often neglected stage of the conformal coating process.

The standards such as IPC A 610 are explicit in their requirements for conformal coating inspection yet few companies actually inspect to that level.

SCH Technologies have developed an Automated Conformal Coating Inspection System (ACCIS) for automatic inspection of conformal coating and defect detection.

ACCIS Automated Conformal Coating Inspection System

The ACCIS Automated Conformal Coating Inspection System is designed for the automatic inspection of the quality of a conformally coated circuit board. It highlights the areas where the board is coated & not coated, as well as highlighting areas suffering from common defects such as de-wetting, cracks and delamination.

The ACCIS uses TOM (Teachable Object Module) software for easily defined automated conformal coating inspection. TOM allows different board types and sizes to be inspected, and it easy to use Graphical User Interface allows quick definition of where coating coverage should and should not be. With the built in identification algorithms, different defect types can also be identified and highlighted.

TOM provides a reliable and versatile quality control solution for Conformal Coating Inspection for both batch in SMEMA inline processing.
